Virtual Communities

Virtual Communities:

Virtual communities is now a huge thing with all internet users. There are so many different ways of a community online due to gaming on consoles and PC's where you can play with people all over the world from different countries so this has became a global phenomenon. There are also communities over social media sites which is really good as you can choose who you want to have on your own page. Any site that has comment sections also count as communities such as youtube; this is good because even though you don't know who they're they cant see any of your details just your username.

  1. Virtual communities are all over the internet. Such as on YouTube, or Facebook and therefore loads of people are all over the internet, talking and chatting and playing with one another constantly. However, you don't know who you're talking to or playing with, so things could be bad.

  2. I agree with this post. there are different ways in which a person can interact with people. in some ways the people you are talking to may be not who you are expecting or they may well be the person you want to talk to. the ways in which people interact with people on these sites such as Facebook and YouTube you can talk to friends or just comment on people you don't know.

  3. I agree with this statement as many people who play video games discuss the opinions and information of gaming forums about games and gaming consoles. This is good for people who game as they can chat about the game, and help each other through levels and attacking people.

  4. From the comments I understand that people really enjoy virtual communities, especially for gaming as I have learnt that you can have forums and talk about how you beat levels, or just talking about how they felt about the game so you can decide whether you want to buy it or not. The one downside is that the person you are talking too could be anyone but you just have to be very careful and only give away personal details about yourself to close friends and family.
